Product Overview
Class 6 emulating indicators are designed to react only when the specific critical variables of a defined sterilization cycle have been achieved — for example 134 °C for 3.5 minutes or 121 °C for 15 minutes. When placed with the items to be sterilized they undergo a distinct, visible change to black that provides immediate confirmation that the intended cycle occurred.
Kangde Med can design Class 6 indicators for cycles between 90 °C and 140 °C with exposure times from 30 seconds to 60 minutes, in strip, label or tape formats. They are routinely used in healthcare facilities and laboratories where cycle-specific verification is required, and complement biological indicators, which validate lethality over a longer incubation period.

How to use
- Select the indicator matching your sterilizer cycle (e.g. 134 °C / 3.5 min).
- Place the strip inside the pack or process challenge device.
- After the cycle, confirm a complete change to black. Any incomplete change means the cycle parameters were not met at that location.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can one Class 6 indicator be used for both 121 °C and 134 °C cycles?
No. A Type 6 indicator is manufactured for one specific cycle. Use the 121 °C / 15 min version for gravity cycles and the 134 °C / 3.5 min version for pre-vacuum cycles, or request a custom design.
