Product Overview
Heat-seal sterilization pouches are pre-cut paper/film pouches sealed on three sides in our factory; the user seals the fourth side with a rotary or impulse heat sealer after loading. They are the workhorse packaging of hospital CSSDs and are also used by device manufacturers for single-use products such as gauze, swabs and face masks.
The pouches are made from the same validated materials as our reels — medical-grade paper and a transparent CPP/PET composite film — and carry steam, EO and formaldehyde process indicators that change colour irreversibly.

Features & Benefits
- Cut to any length
- Irreversible indicators
- Three-side burst-proof seal
- Clear film — see contents
- Steam, EO & formaldehyde
How to use
- Cut the reel to the required length (allow at least 30 mm above the instrument) and seal one end with a heat sealer.
- Load the instrument with sharp tips pointing away from the peel side so the pack is not punctured and can be opened safely.
- Seal the second end and mark the sterilization date, contents and operator on the film side — never write on the paper.
- Process by steam, ethylene oxide or formaldehyde. The printed indicators change colour irreversibly: blue → black for steam, pink → yellow for EO, red → green for formaldehyde.
- Store in a clean, dry area below 25 °C and below 60 % RH. Recommended validity: 6 months after sterilization while the pack remains intact.
Applications
Hospital CSSDs, dental and veterinary clinics, laboratories, and medical device manufacturers packaging gauze, swabs, masks and single-use instruments.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which side of the pouch should I write on?
Write on the plastic film side, outside the seal area, or on the sealing flap. Writing on the paper can damage the porous barrier and compromise sterility.
What sterilization methods can the pouch be used with?
Paper/film pouches and reels are suitable for steam (autoclave), ethylene oxide (EO) and formaldehyde sterilization. They are not intended for dry-heat or hydrogen peroxide plasma processes, which require Tyvek® or non-woven materials.
What is the recommended storage life after sterilization?
Under clean, dry storage below 25 °C and 60 % RH we recommend a validity of 6 months after sterilization, provided the seal and packaging are undamaged. Facilities should follow their own event-related sterility policy.
