Product Overview
Self-sealing sterilization pouches give healthcare workers a fast and reliable way to enclose instruments and devices for steam or EO sterilization without a heat sealer. Fold the flap along the perforation, press the adhesive strip, and the pouch is sealed.
Each pouch carries dual process indicators printed outside the seal area: the steam indicator turns from blue to black and the EO indicator from pink to yellow. The three-side burst-resistant seal keeps the pouch intact during pressure changes, while the transparent composite film shows the contents clearly so that instruments are identified without opening the pack. Peel opening is clean, without fibre tearing, for aseptic presentation.

How to use
- Select a pouch size that leaves at least 30 mm clearance around the instrument.
- Insert the instrument with the handle towards the opening and sharp tips protected.
- Remove the release liner, fold the flap along the perforation and press firmly along the whole adhesive strip.
- Sterilize by steam or EO. Verify the indicator colour change after the cycle.
- Store below 25 °C and 60 % RH. Recommended validity: 6 months after sterilization while the pack remains intact.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a heat sealer for self-sealing pouches?
No. The pouch has a pre-applied medical adhesive strip; fold the flap and press to seal. Heat-seal pouches and reels are also available if your department uses a sealer.
Which side of the pouch should I write on?
Write on the plastic film side, outside the seal area, or on the sealing flap. Writing on the paper can damage the porous barrier and compromise sterility.
What sterilization methods can the pouch be used with?
Paper/film pouches and reels are suitable for steam (autoclave), ethylene oxide (EO) and formaldehyde sterilization. They are not intended for dry-heat or hydrogen peroxide plasma processes, which require Tyvek® or non-woven materials.
What is the recommended storage life after sterilization?
Under clean, dry storage below 25 °C and 60 % RH we recommend a validity of 6 months after sterilization, provided the seal and packaging are undamaged. Facilities should follow their own event-related sterility policy.
